Add a holding
Type a ticker and how many shares you own. Known tickers fill in their price, dividend and schedule. For anything else, enter those yourself.

Your holdings
Import or export a CSV
Bring in holdings from any spreadsheet or brokerage download that has a ticker and a share count. Payout Lab is not connected to any broker. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded, and you preview every change first.
Lab
Stress-test the portfolio you hold. Change a setting and every result updates.
Dividend cut test
Pick a holding and cut its payout. See what you lose and how it moves your goal date.
Concentration check
How much of your income depends on your biggest payers.
Goal timeline
Set a monthly income target. The slow-growth slider shows whether your timeline holds up if dividend growth stalls.
Add-money test
Put a lump sum into one of your holdings and see how much sooner you reach your goal.
Taxable account vs IRA
What your income looks like after tax in each account type. Set the tax type per holding in Portfolio. REITs and most covered-call funds are usually taxed as ordinary income.
Receipts
Saved reports
A report is a dated copy of your portfolio and what it produced. It never changes when prices update, so you can compare it with today or with another report later. Reports are stored inside your packet.

Your packet
A packet is a small .payout file holding your whole portfolio. It is your account: open it on any device to continue where you stopped.
The file contains your holdings and share counts, not encrypted. Keep it somewhere private. Payout Lab never receives it.
Links
Workspace bookmark
Opens Payout Lab on this browser and selects this portfolio. It contains no data and cannot bring your portfolio back on another device: there you open your packet.
Snapshot link
A dated copy of your holdings and settings stored inside the link. Anyone who has the link can read your holdings. It never updates: change your portfolio and you make a new link, while old links keep showing the old copy.
Portfolio card
A QR code with the name, ID and date, to save as an image or print. The default card is a bookmark with no holdings in it. A card that carries your holdings is a separate, deliberate choice.
On this device
Come back later
A bookmark opens Payout Lab. On this browser it continues the portfolio it remembers; on another device you open your packet. If this site ever moves to a new web address, the copies remembered here do not move with it, so save a packet first.

Splits
Stock splits
A split changes how many shares you hold and what each one costs, not what you own. A forward split (Alphabet, 20-for-1) makes each share cheaper to buy. A reverse split (Lucid, 1-for-10) does the opposite. This tab shows what happened and what has been announced. It does not predict splits or tell you what to buy.
